Maths

                                In maths this week I am in stage 2 for maths.

Catholic Schools Day

Yesterday Saint Joseph’s came to our school for Catholic School’s Day. We had a shared lunch with them in the front of our class room.

We continued the day with a celebration in the hall that was lead by room seven. Saint Joseph’s had turns to perform too, they had the coolest items.

Saint Joseph’s sang a song called ‘Count On Me’ and ‘Malimali Mai’ then it was our turn to do our item. Our item was the cup song from Pitch Perfect.

When we were performing I felt nervous and not confident, but when we started off with the clapping I felt very excited and was very, very happy as well.

Room seven ended off our celebration in the hall with a song called ‘Hamba Gahle’. Our celebration in the hall was very good and very cool too.

Maths Reflection

In Math this week room three are doing Math Whizz because it helps us improve in adding and subtraction. I also go on Xtra Maths and I am on pluses. 

Maths is sometimes hard but Xtra Maths is very hard because it has a time that is a little bit fast. Maths Whizz is the best of all because it has cool as because it is like an adventure.

In Addition and Subtraction I am on Stage 4.

My Pencil

A pencil is long and sharp. Inside a pencil is a lead, the lead is to help you write.

A pencil is made out of wood and some pencils have a rubber on the end.  Pencils are colourful like the rainbow and you also can create with it.

My learning tool is very easy to hold and it is thin too. You can use it for many things. Some pencils are sometimes sharp and sometimes blunt too. When you hold the pencil the pencil is not that light and also it is smooth like a baby's hand.

Some people find pencils in the garden and in the classroom too.

Pencils can be shaped round like a circle or with six sides like a hexagon.

My pencil is special because it helps me to write and I can make noises with it too.

NZ Sign language Awareness

This week is NZ Sign language Awareness week.Today Room three learnt to say their names in NZ Sign language.

My Mother

My Mother is pretty, she has brown eye’s and black hair, it is like the night. Her brown eyes are like  the colour of the cross that Jesus died on and she is also a hard worker.

My Mother does not like sweets and she does not like any fizzy drinks. She likes toast with cheese and she also likes vegetables.

My Mother is unique and special because she always helps her workmates and also helps my brothers and my sisters too.  

My Mother is special because whenever she comes back from work she always comes with some snacks or sometimes comes with nice KFC. I love my Mum.
